Copycat Olive Garden Fried Ravioli

It’s inevitable…every time I go to Olive Garden, I order the Fried Ravioli and Fettuccine Alfredo. The closest Olive Garden to us is 45 minutes away, so we don’t get to eat there very often.

I found this recipe, and it’s pretty close to the OG version. It’s also extremely easy to make, which means I can make it myself at home whenever I get a craving for it.

What do you need? meat filled ravioli, eggs, bread crumbs, flour, garlic salt, oregano, and basil.

You’re going to need 3 bowls; one for the flour, one for eggs mixed with water, and one for bread crumbs mixed with the seasonings. Your ravioli needs to be thawed out before making these so it will hold the breading. I like to put a fork into each bowl to help coat the ravioli so I don’t get it all over my hands.

You’ll start by dipping each ravioli into the flour bowl first, then into the egg wash, and finally into the bread crumb mixture.

Heat the oil in your frying pan to 350 degrees. Then carefully place each ravioli into the oil. Fry them for about 1-2 minutes, flipping once so both sides will turn golden brown. They will cook pretty quickly. I fry mine in batches so I don’t overcrowd the pan. My frying pan will hold about 5-6 at a time.

Once they’re done, place them onto a plate lined with paper towels to drain. Sprinkle with parmesan (optional) and serve with marinara sauce or ranch dressing (my favorite).

I’ve personally never tried it, but I’m sure this would also be really good with the cheese filled ravioli! Fried cheese ravioli with marinara?? YUM!

Dustin prefers marinara with his. Austin and I love them with ranch! When I made these, I gave Austin one to try and he rubbed his belly and said, “Mmm mmmm!” He is my child. Love that boy.

These are great as an appetizer or a snack, but I also love eating them as a side with Fettuccine Alfredo. So good!

I also love to make Baked Ravioli using the same meat filled ravioli. I buy the 25 oz bag of frozen ravioli (about 45 ravioli). I can make both dishes off of the same bag. It works out great, and nothing goes to waste!

Which ravioli would you prefer, meat filled or cheese filled?
