Want a quick, easy, and delicious recipe for chocolate cake? I’ve got ya covered! This cake is so good! I had a cake similar to this several years ago. After looking at several different recipes, I finally was able to find the perfect one. I have made it for years now and it seems to get better every time. It lives up to its’ name, because you will seriously think you have died and gone to Heaven!

I love this cake for several reasons; it has chocolate (I mean, who doesn’t love chocolate), it’s easy to throw together with ingredients you more than likely already have in your kitchen, and it’s a quick clean-up. I just mixed everything up in my kitchenAid stand mixer. No extra bowls are necessary!

This cake has eggs, sour cream, cake mix, instant pudding, oil, water, and chocolate chips…that’s it! The sour cream is what makes it so moist and the pudding makes it fudgy! It just doesn’t get much better than that!

First, you’ll want to beat your eggs and sour cream together until well combined. I just use my KitchenAid stand mixer for this.

Next, you will add the rest of the ingredients, except for the chocolate chips, and mix well. Pretty easy, right? Be sure to scrape the sides and all around when necessary to make sure it’s really being mixed all the way.

Now it’s time to fold those chocolate chips in! I love using this rubber spatula when I’m baking. You can get one with scripture or an inspirational saying. They also have measurement conversions on the back of them, which I love! I use them to fold ingredients in and scrape the bowls when mixing things. The one I have actually came from a little Christian bookstore in Tennessee when Dustin and I went on our honeymoon. The one I found on Amazon is just like it though.

The batter will be thick and calling your name already. Don’t worry, this is normal! Resist the temptation for a little longer. We’re almost there! Spread the batter evenly into a greased bundt cake pan. Don’t forget to grease the center!

Is your mouth watering yet? Be patient my fellow chocolate lovers. Delicious chocolate cake is coming! Place it in the oven and bake it for 45 minutes at 350 degrees F. When it’s all done, it should look something like this:

I usually let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before turning it over onto a cooling rack to finish cooling. Then I let it cool completely before moving it to a cake plate. I love this 6 in 1 cake stand. Adding sifted powdered sugar on top is optional. I made this for my Sweetheart for Valentine’s Day this year and wanted it to be extra special. If you’re keeping this cake to yourself and holding it hostage at your house to share with no one else, I would recommend only adding the sugar to each individual piece as you slice it to devour (I mean eat)!

This cake is so moist that the sugar will start to seep into the cake soon after, giving it a gummy look. Otherwise, sprinkle it with as much powdered sugar as your heart desires and have everyone thinking you’re the chocolate bundt cake Queen at the family reunion, or whatever occasion it may be! ***Make sure your cake is cooled ALL the way before doing this, or you’ll have a melty, sticky mess.***

It’s almost too pretty to eat…..almost. Time to dive into this chocolate goodness and enjoy a slice…or two (who’s counting??) of Heaven!!!
