Smothered Green Beans
These green beans are topped with crumbled bacon and a brown sugar and butter mixture. They are very flavorful and make the perfect side dish for any occasion.

- 5 (15 oz) cans of cut green beans drained
- 1 lb bacon
- 1/4 cup butter melted
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Pour drained green beans into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Cook bacon until almost done, but not too crispy. Remove from skillet, drain on paper towels, and chop into small pieces.
Sprinkle cooked bacon on top of green beans.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder.
Pour evenly over green beans and bacon.
Bake uncovered for 40 minutes and serve.
